GymMark
GymMark is the UK-wide quality standard for safe,
effective and child friendly gymnastics and trampolining clubs.
It is anticipated that schools, sports centres, local authorities,
funding authorities and parents will look for GymMark accreditation
when deciding which clubs to attend or to work with.
To become GymMark accredited Concord needs to
show evidence of high quality practise in 5 areas:
Club Development • Training and Events • Duty of Care & Child Protection • Sports Equity & Ethics • AdministrationSome of the benefits anticipated from Concord achieving
GymMark accreditation are:
A comprehensive development plan from club safety through to coach development and performance pathways for all gymnasts.A robust members handbook and/or procedures that covers everything a parent or gymnast needs to know about our club.A clear direction as to where we want to go, a plan for how to get there and a structure and organisation that will support us.
